Guiding Recovery with Proven Expertise

Physiotherapy Services & Conditions We Treat

The ultimate goal of physiotherapy is to help people get back to the things they love. At Health on High, we work with everyone from post-op joint replacement rehab to athletes recovering after injury, tradies managing workplace strains and people living with arthritis or back pain in the Coffs region.

Our services always commence with a thorough assessment, often identifying the underlying cause of that recurrent problem. Management can then include manual therapy, dry needling, tailored exercise programs, ergonomic corrections, and small rehab classes to name a few. This enables our team to support people with conditions such as shoulder pain, tendonopathies, nerve compression, post-surgical rehabilitation and other musculoskeletal injuries.

Treatment is always personalised to your circumstances, with the option to integrate other allied health services into your plan for more comprehensive care.

Experienced Physiotherapists, Evidence Based Results

Meet Your Physiotherapists & Learn What to Expect

Our physiotherapy team is led by Faye Wiffen and Sean Wiffen, both highly experienced allied health practitioners in musculoskeletal care, sports injuries, chronic pain and rehabilitation. Here’s what the journey with them might look like:

Initial assessment

Your first session, commences with a detailed discussion about your history and goals, review of any reports, then a thorough assessment which can involve both active and passive movements, joint stability tests or nerve mobility.

We develop a personalised plan using evidence based techniques such as manual therapy, dry needling, real-time ultrasound imaging (RTUI), exercise prescription, laser therapy, strapping, posture correction or ergonomic advice.

We support your progress through regular reviews, prevention strategies and collaboration with other services such as exercise physiology or NeuroAble Physiotherapy, where relevant.
No referral is needed, but if you have one, we will use your doctor’s notes to guide your care. For your convenience, we also work with WorkCover, DVA, Medicare, NDIS and other insurance pathways.

I have just completed post knee replacement Physiotherapy at Health on high. The staff, from reception to the trained personnel were engaging, friendly and above all very professional and explained the ensuing treatment fully and the expected outcomes. I cannot recommend Health on High strongly enough for any post operative Physiotherapy.

Physiotherapy at Health on High is designed to support recovery and improve your quality of life across a wide range of conditions. Our team tailors treatments for acute injuries, chronic pain, arthritis, bursitis, back/neck pain, shoulder injuries, tennis elbow, nerve compression syndromes and post-surgical rehabilitation, among others.

We use evidence-based techniques such as manual therapy, dry needling, tailored exercise programs, posture and ergonomic advice, and small rehabilitation classes. For more specific needs, we also offer accredited hand therapists and post-surgery shoulder rehabilitation, ensuring every plan is personalised to your lifestyle goals and stage of recovery.

Our physiotherapists combine advanced training, modern facilities and compassionate care. What sets us apart is the way we work closely with the wider allied health team. You might see us for physiotherapy, but if your progress could benefit from input in areas like exercise physiology or neurophysiotherapy, we will collaborate with those practitioners to strengthen your results. This coordinated, evidence based approach means you receive care that is tailored to your whole health journey, not just one aspect of it.

Yes, some patients with chronic conditions such as arthritis or back pain may be eligible for Medicare’s Chronic Disease Management plan (EPC). This program can provide up to five subsidised sessions per year with allied health providers like physiotherapists. To access it, you’ll need a referral from your GP.
