Restoring Function, Reducing Pain

How Shoulder & Hand Therapy Works

Your journey begins with a detailed assessment. Following trauma such as a fracture, sometimes there can be secondary damage not initially identified. With an overuse condition such as tennis elbow or shoulder bursitis, there can be an underlying cause that predisposes you to developing your pain or dysfunction. Identifying this can then lead to longer term resolution or control as our therapists develop a personalised plan for you. This may include:
Healing Support
Early post-operative care, wound management, and bracing
Scar management, including stretching and scar elastomers

Custom-made splints and thermoplastic supports

Manual therapy and joint mobilisation

Exercise prescription and supervised rehabilitation
Ergonomics advice and self-management strategies

Ongoing monitoring ensures your treatment evolves as you recover. We collaborate closely with our allied health professionals to support safe, effective and lasting recovery.

I have just completed post knee replacement Physiotherapy at Health on high. The staff, from reception to the trained personnel were engaging, friendly and above all very professional and explained the ensuing treatment fully and the expected outcomes. I cannot recommend Health on High strongly enough for any post operative Physiotherapy.
